32. Which months require fumigation for Ro-Ro vehicles to Australia?
Brand-new vehicles: if the loading date falls between September 1 and April 30 of the following year (inclusive of both end dates), fumigation at the port of loading is mandatory; from May to August no fumigation is required — washing off mud and weeds suffices.
Used cars / used construction machinery: Ro-Ro shipments to Australia in any month of the year require fumigation/heat treatment at the port of loading.
The determining basis is the B/L loading date.
