79. What is checked during the pre-loading power-on test for RO-RO vehicles?
A power-on test must be carried out the day before loading. Its core purpose is to confirm that the vehicle can drive itself into the ship's hold. The checks include: whether the vehicle starts normally, whether gear shifting is normal, and whether steering is normal. Focus on the traction battery SOC (recommended not below 40%), whether the 12V auxiliary battery is flat, and whether transport mode has been deactivated. A problem in any one of these items may prevent the vehicle from driving aboard under its own power and disrupt the loading schedule.
