66. What goods qualify for repair-item import? Which do not?
Can be declared: equipment, components, locomotive parts, power packs and boards previously exported that are returned to China for repair due to breakdown or damage, including repair-supporting imported spare parts.
Cannot: goods on the prohibited-import list for old mechanical/electrical products generally cannot be imported under "repair items"; they may be imported for repair only with special Ministry of Commerce approval and must be re-exported. For key old mechanical/electrical items, provide the corresponding certificates as required by supervision rules.
